David Malda contributes to GGN’s design leadership by bringing a background in art history, design, and community development to current collaborations. A particular interest in the contemporary value of a site’s history informs David’s work on projects like the winning proposal for the Union Square National Mall Competition, and the Pike Pine Renaissance Streetscape Design Vision.
David holds an MLA and MArch from the University of Virginia. In 2009 he was named the Landscape Architecture Foundation (LAF) National Olmstead Scholar and continues to work with the LAF Board of Directors. David writes and speaks about landscape at a variety of venues including the 2015 Garden and Landscape Studies Symposium at Dumbarton Oaks.
