United States New Embassy Compound, Ankara, Turkey

The Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) has selected Ennead Architects of New York, New York as the architect for the new U.S. Embassy in Ankara, Turkey. GGN is the landscape architect.

The multi-building complex will be situated on a nine-acre site in the Karakusunlar neighborhood, and will include a chancery, U.S. Marine Corps residence, warehouse, support annex, utility building, parking garage, and community facilities. These facilities should represent U.S. values and the best in U.S. architecture, engineering, technology, sustainability, art, culture, and construction execution.
