Making the move from Ohio to the West, Melissa Block comes to GGN to refine her experiences in landscape design and understanding. Mel is a recent graduate from The Ohio State University’s Knowlton School of Architecture, where she received her Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture. Previously, Mel worked as a CAD Designer for a local company in Columbus, Ohio designing playgrounds and parks. This experience provided her with a better sense of construction details, material significance, and design layout.

Mel’s interest in landscape architecture developed from her passion for the arts and graphic representation, as well as her love for public spaces and environments. In the future, she plans to pursue dual masters degrees in Landscape Architecture and Architecture. Mel is a self-proclaimed world traveler, a fervent artist, and a food aficionado.
